Wast Water Wedding Photography | Lesley & Ian
Wast Water Wedding Photography | We were privileged to photograph Lesley and Ian’s wedding a few weeks ago. The venue they chose for their wedding was Low Wood Hall Hotel in Nether Wasdale in The Lakes. Low Wood Hall Hotel – a great venue for a small intimate Wedding with plenty of character. The views are spectacular and its only 5 minutes away from Wast Water which has some spectacular views. Working as a wedding photographer in the Lakes presents me with wonderful opportunities to work with lovely couples like L&I, in perfect locations like this one.
The day began with us capturing Lesley whilst she got ready at Low Wood Hall Hotel. Although we were originally only booked for the ceremony & group shots afterwords, we arrived a little early and we love capturing the bride and her party as they get their hair and makeup done.
Lesley and Ian’s wedding ceremony at Low Wood Hall Hotel was rustic, simple and beautiful. They shared their vows with some of their closest friends & family. L&I are such a lovely couple to be around, they are always laughing and making jokes and they made us feel more like friends than their photographers. It was great to see the love in their eyes and the love they have for each other. It was hard not to shed a tear myself while watching these two say I do.
Time for a walk along the lake
Summer weddings are always amazing weddings to photograph and I made sure to make the most of the sunshine. L&I were very keen to have portraits down by Wast Water itself so we hopped in the car and drove the short distance to the lake which has been voted 1 of the top 11 views in the UK. L&I are a pleasure to photograph. They needed very little prompting and are happy just chatting away, making each other laugh. It made life much easier for me as a wedding photographer.
I smell BBQ
With our job done and all packed up and ready to go home, Lesley & Ian invited us to stay for some food. They were having a BBQ, and with a long drive home, it seemed rude to say no :). Every Wedding has it’s own story and this one I will remember for a long time. A great day with an amazing couple with breathtaking views. I wish I could shoot Weddings in the Lakes every week. This is one we will remember for a while.
